TELNET (TELecommunication NETwork) is a network protocol used on the Internet or local area network (LAN) connections. It was developed in late 60s with RFC 15. Telnet is pretty old for login into remote system and it has serious security problem. Most admins will recommend using Open SSH (secure shell) for all remote activities. But you may find users who are still demanding telnet over ssh as they are comfortable with Telnet. Some users got scripts written in 90s and they don't want to change it. So what do you do when users demands telnet?

I haven’t posted a Tank Theory tee in far too long. This is my favorite design from their current line up. It’s very detailed and is similar to a lot of tank theory tee’s in that it’s a little, uhh… gross.

Tank Theory claims the design to be of "jumbled hearts and gizzards." Umm… before seeing this I was pretty hungry. Now, not so much.

Q. I've two network interface connected to two different routers as follows:
[a] eth0 LAN network 10.0.0.0/8 - gateway IP - 10.8.2.65

[b] eth1 ISP assigned network 202.54.22.128/28 - gateway IP - 202.54.22.129
I can only ping to public server but not to another servers inside LAN? I'm not able to route traffic via 10.8.2.65. How do I configure static routing under Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x or CentOS Linux 5.2?

I've already written about changing the I/O scheduler for hard disk under Linux and avoiding sudden outburst of disk I/O using ionice utility. Google has sponsored Gelato@UNSW to take a close look at the disk schedulers in Linux, particularly when combined with RAID. They have now published their findings.
