Kevin Ayers-The Unfairground
Previously import-only -- now available at a domestic price. Latest album from this pioneer of the British psychedelic scene. On this long-awaited release Ayers is accompanied by artists he inspired like Teenage Fanclub, Ladybug Transistor, Candie Payne and Euros Childs (Gorkys Zygotic Mynci). Also features close friend Hugh Hopper from Ayers' Soft Machine days.
Black Moth Super Rainbow - Dandelion Gum LP
Del! The Funky Homosapien-Eleventh Hour CD/LP
First solo release from this Hieroglyphic honcho in eight years. Collaborators include fellow Hieroglyphics founder A-Plus, Devin The Dude & Coughee Brothaz, Bukue One, and more.
Don't Stop: Recording Tap
In January of 2006 the Numero Group found itself sitting three wide on a weight bench in a damp garage. Eight hours later they peeled out of the driveway with a thirty-seven tape mystery. Although Jeremiah Yisrael's Tap label only issued a handful of 12"s between 1981-83, the tape deck never stopped rolling, producing dozens of lavish songs in disco's last days. From the string heavy sugar boogie of Jackie Stoudemire and Arnie Love to pioneering raps by Missy Dee & The Melody Crew and The Fabulous 3 MCs, Recording Tap covers a wide swath of New York's all night sound. This single-disc set includes a miniature songbook and expansive booklet stuffed with photos and memorabilia, all housed in a miniature replica tape box. CD now, limited 3xLP+CD box set due sometime in April. File under: Old School.
Dropkick Murphys-The Meanest Of Times CD+DVD
Just in time for St. Patrick's Day! The Meanest Of Times has been repackaged with five extra tracks (including their cover of Thin Lizzy's "Jailbreak," as heard in a Miller beer commercial) and a bonus DVD containing a mini-movie on the band's St. Patrick's Day charity breakfast in Boston, the music video for "The State Of Massachusetts" and more.
Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode) - Hourglass Remixes LP+CD

The Juan MacLean-Happy House 12"
First new single since the acclaimed 2005 album Less Than Human.
Juta Hipp-Juta Hipp With Zoot Sims
Junkie XL-Booming Back At You
Kaki King-Dreaming Of Revenge
Dazzling young guitarist extraordinaire (you may already have heard her on albums by Foo Fighters and Tegan And Sara, as well as the soundtrack to Into The Wild) makes her most accessible album yet -- branching out with songs that feature electric and pedal steel guitar, horns, and vocals. Initial copies come with a bonus 7" 45 sporting a previously unreleased instrumental B-side.
Nick Lowe-Jesus Of Cool 2xLP
30th Anniversary edition of the pop masterpiece on deluxe 180-gram vinyl. Includes all of the tracks contained on the expanded CD edition.

Elvis Presley-He Touched Me
Ike Quebec-Blue And Sentimental

Jimmy Smith-Live At The Baby Grand, Vol. 1
Jimmy Smith-Live At The Baby Grand, Vol. 2
Louis Smith-Here Comes Louis Smith
Son Lux-At War With Walls And Mazes CD/LP
"Intriguing debut by composer Ryan Lott is an unusual blend of approaches, especially for a release on Anticon: the lyrical concerns of Sufjan Stevens circa Seven Swans, sonic techniques from Massive Attack, and the classical habits of Nico Muhly. [7.0]" -- Pitchfork
Snoop Dogg-Ego Trippin
The hip-hop legend returns with his ninth solo album, anchored by the fun-kay hit single "Sexual Eruption (Sensual Seduction)." Initial copies come with a bonus DVD with six music videos, including "Drop It Like It's Hot." CD now, vinyl available in two weeks.
The Thing With Ken Vandermark-Immediate Sound
The Thing team up with their longtime friend Ken Vandermark to create some of their finest work. Recorded live at Chicago's Hideout, April 2007, this album leans more towards the classical free-jazz sound of the '60s.
Wax Poetics-February/March 2008
Cover feature on Grandmaster Flash. Includes articles on Camp Lo, Build An Ark, Funky Cuba, Eddie Harris, Mighty Hannibal and much more.
Who's Your Favorite Son God?-Out Of Body Diva
Debut album from Sacramento avant-rock band.
Why?-Alopecia
Why? -- Yoni Wolf, Josiah Wolf, Doug McDiarmid -- continue a calculated blitzkrieg on the jangle-rap, indie pop 'n' roll genre. Recorded at Minneapolis's Third Ear studio with Fog mastermind Andrew Broder and bassist Mark "Bear" Erickson, they throw their samplers to the wind (mostly), recording live as a five-piece. CD now, vinyl soon.

http://fat-cat.co.uk/fatcat/artistInfo.php?artist=Silje+Nes
Silje is a songwriter who likes to experiment and find new ways to use sounds and instruments in her music. She has studied classical piano, played timpani in an Orchestra, played drums in a marching band and played in a traditional indie pop band, - but when she started recording her songs, she worked with her laptop and a lot of instruments she had no previous experience of playing. She plays around with instruments and sounds without conventions, and combined with her good songwriting, the result is stunningly beautiful. She will be opening for The Dodos the next night at Lola's in Ft. Worth.
